Mother Teresa

Today I was searching for articles to read on Mother Teresa on the net as she is one person that is mostly talked about these days. I expected to see many inspiring stories and beautiful articles about her life, work and her faith. But I was sad and dissapointed about the results I got on my search.

It seemed to me as if people have forgotten who Mother Teresa was and what she did for the poor and the less fortunate during the past decade after her death. Some of those results of my search include articles named as ‘Mother Teresa’s doubts’, ‘Crisis of faith’, ‘Mother Teresa in heaven or hell?’, ‘Letters revealed she just wanted to get laid’, ‘Was Mother Teresa an atheist?’ . People have critisized her thoughts, words and deeds so much that they have made all that beauty in her life invicible and dark to the eyes of the people who love and respect her. So I thought of writing a few words about her life and works.

Mother Teresa was born on the 27th of August 1910 in a small town of albania. From her younger days she was very much attached to God and experienced God’s love in her life. She lived according to the teachings of Jesus and loved the mankind like no other human being. She was a teacher in London for several years and then became in-charge of a school in the Bengali department. Later she dedicated herself to serve the less fortunate children and adults. She took care of orphans and elderly people in Culcutta and gave in her whole life to serve them and to Jesus. Her faith in God was strong, firm and incomparable to any other. During her latter part of life she recieved many awards for her service and the unconditional love towards the poor.

Mother Teresa when being appreciated for her work always said ”For the glory of God and in the name of the poor” showing the humbleness and obedience to God. She formed the Missionaries of Charity and a few other organizations along with several other people to serve the world. She lived for 87 years in this world helping people and spreading God’s word and left her earthly life on the 5th of september 1997 in to the arms of Jesus. This lady was one beautiful creation of God and a great human being who always lived for others all through out her life. Her undying love for people and the faith in God is an great example for all of us who are living our lives only for ourselves.
